Porphyry Stone

Natural surface and split edges tiles obtained by the splitting of rough slabs using hydraulic presses are often used for paving and facing of both indoors and outdoors areas. Most standard sizes are a fixed width: 4", 6", 8", 10", 12" and 14" by variable length, 1" to 2" thick.

Specified by architect in every kind of sophisticated work, porphyry tiles are fundamental in revamping of squares, streets, sidewalks, arcades and historic areas in general.

There is a special selection of porphyry tiles with a natural, flamed, honed or hammered surface and sawn edges. They have a square or rectangular shape, available in different dimensions with a random or fixed length.
